Chilean singer Ismael Bandolero Duran returns to Berkeley celebrating the Latin American song with a selection of songs and rhythms from Colombia, Mexico, Argentina and Chile.
Featuring the “new generational sound" of 12 year old virtuoso guitar and cuatro player Gabriel Herrera-Durán, grandson of Bandolero Durán.
The repertoire of emblematic songs will remember greater musicians and composers of Latin America, including Atahualpa Yupanqui and Facundo Cabral (Argentina), Daniel Viglietti and Alfredo Zitarroza (Uruguay), Violeta Parra and Victor Jara (Chile), and the sound of Carlos Santana (Mexico).
