SKEPTICS“The Twisted Logic of the War on Terror”

By Richard E. Wackrow, author (“Who’s Winning the War on Terror”) and retired journalist.

From George W. Bush declaring war on a tactic (terror) in 2001, to current airport-screening measures that actually compromise the security of passengers, the hallmark of the United States’ eleven-year war on terror has not been sound reasoning. This talk will look at some of the fanciful terrorism scenarios that the terror-industrial complex (Fear Inc.) has warned us about, along with some of the truly preposterous terror plots from which we have been “saved.” Of course, no such talk would be complete without a look at the present state of airport security and the bizarre thinking upon which it is predicated.
