11th Annual International Latino Film Festival presents:
La ciudad de los fotógrafos / The City of Photographers (dir. Sebastián Moreno 2006, Chile, 80 min.) Director Sebastian Moreno to be present for a Q and A. In the 1980s, under Pinochet's regime in Chile, a small group of independent photographers took to the streets and documented the atrocities, the violence, the riots and the fighting going on around. While Pinochet's army had guns, the photographers had an equally dangerous weapon - their cameras.
Fuga / Fugue (dir. Pablo Larraín 2006, Argentina / Chile, 110 min.) Eliseo Montalbán is a musician trapped in an unfinished opus. As a boy, he witnessed the rape and death of his sister who was murdered on top of a piano while composing a melody.
*Films will be shown separately, thus there is a $8 or $6 entrance fee for each film.
