Bay Area artists pay homage to the literary and creative brilliance of our ancestors, including:
James Baldwin, Yuri Kochiyama, Sandra Cisneros, Nina Simone, Pat Parker, Jose Montoya, King Curtis, Flaco Jimenez, Carol Lee Sanchez, Augusta Lee collings, Wanda Coleman, Barbara Lubinski, Jim Pepper, Piri Thomas, Reginald Lockett, John Ross, Rudolfo Anaya, Maya Angelous, and Cesar Cruz.

Featuring some of the Bay Area’s best poets & musicians:

The Trouble Makers Union –  Upbeat international music for human rights
Jose Cuellar aka “Dr. Loco” & Friends – a rich melange of mestizo & mulatto styles in celebraton of diverse origins for Mexican American musical heritage.
Caitlyn Clark – Spoken word artist and Youth Speak’s youngest ever Teen Poetry Slam Grand Champion in 2014.
Jesus “El Elegido” Huerta Spoken word artist and co-founder of The Barrio Poets
