Low Impact Flamenco Dance

New Class Offering at La Peña with the very talented Sara Ayala!

  • Mondays, 12:00pm – 1:00pm
  • Beginner friendly – all levels. Older adults very welcomed and encouraged to join. 
  • Drop-ins welcome
  • Cost: $25 per class

Discover the passion of flamenco in a gentle, low-impact class focused on elegant arm and hand movements, stately posture, and confident expression. Gently aerobic with minimal footwork and an emphasis on mindful, joint-safe movement, it’s perfect for beginners or anyone seeking a slower-paced approach-suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

Our next When We Win gathering brings the story of sacred Mākua in Hawai‘i and the grassroots movement for Native Hawaiian land return and demilitarization.This month we're honored to welcome Laurel Mei-Singh, writer and producer of Mālama Mākua, in conversation with our community. Born and raised in Hawai‘i, Laurel is an Assistant Professor of Geography and Asian American Studies at UT Austin.
