$20 Advance, $25 Door
Doors at 7:30 p.m., Show at 8:00 p.m.
New York Writer/Performer Lousine Shamamian is bringing her explosive one-woman show, Shake The Earth to the San Francisco Bay Area for one performance on Sunday May 8th. It had its world premier at the New York International Fringe Festival in August 2015 and received rave reviews.
Bolstered by kufta and string cheese, Lousine yearns to bring the injustice inflicted on her ancestors to light. Can this meek gay Armenian stand up for herself and recount her great-grandfather Georgi’s remarkable story of survival during the Armenian Genocide?
Hinging on the tension between Armenian and gay pride and driven by the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide, and the Turkish government’s aggressive denial, this tragicomedy is an explosive tale of survival, resilience and freedom.
Written & Performed by LOUSINE SHAMAMIAN
