La Peña Cultural Center presents
The Frontlines of the Chilean Revolution:
Film Screening, Report-Back & Special Performance by Rod Starz of Rebel Díaz

Vee Bravo is a Chileno, NY-based filmmaker and activist with deep roots in social justice based work in both the US and Chile. This past December he traveled to Chile along with fellow activist and artist Rodstarz from the hip hop duo Rebel Diaz. Their goal was to document the current events unfolding in Chile, and in turn help disseminate the information. The Chilean media has been silent for the most part and international press coverage has been sparse. Yet, the turmoil continues and becomes deadlier each day.

This Sunday, Feb. 16, 2020 at La Peña Cultural Center Vee Bravo and Rodstarz will be screening the footage they recently captured along with a report-back to discuss what is transcending in Chile with respect to the political context, repression and path forward. This event will also feature a special performance by Rodstarz of Rebel Diaz.

Tickets are $15 Advance / $20 at the door and suppor the work of this film. There will also be a donation pitch to support activists in Chile that are documented in the film.

*La Peña Cultural Center is wheelchair accessible.
