CANTO TELÚRICO is a Chilean neo-folkloric band conformed by Maria Loreto Ramirez, Axel Herrera, and Poncho Jaramillo. They play original Latin American neo folklore and fusion songs, drawing deeply from the nueva trova tradition, Chilean diasporic folklore and the use of music as a tool of cultural resistance and social change.
CUMBIA PARADISO is an exciting new group from the Bay Area that delivers a blast of danceable sonic energy. They have been making music together since 2022, focusing primarily on the colorful genre of Cumbia Chicha, the psychedelic cumbia style of the Andes in South America. The band consists of Leonard Sherman on reeds and keys, Marcel Espina on vocals, Owen Otto on guitar, Clayton Miller on bass, David Eagle on percussion and Axel Herrera on drums. The band is currently performing in clubs and festivals in and around the Bay Area, electrifying audiences with their shamanic approach to cumbia, as well as with other South American and Latin sounds.
