An exciting performance is coming to La Peña on Friday, June 22nd. It’s not something you’ll want to miss!

Ménage 2012 has some of the best Arabic and world fusion musicians in the Bay Area to rock your seats off. Along with ouds, tablas, & violins, Wobbly World (opening for Aerosmith at the Oakland Oracle Arena this August 4th) is going to enchant you with melodies from Bulgaria, Spain, and China. Dancers include flamenco dancer, Fanny Ara, Nathalie Tedrick from the Bellydance Superstars, Ahava, Kendra Katz, Avery Lamar, Krysta Cook, Laura Lopez-Ayllon and Rebecca Vasile (Carroll) from Petaluma.

This event is produced by Rebecca Vasile, one of the Bay Area’s most prominient dance instructors/choreographers. You can learn more about her here.

Featuring a presentation by Jeff Chang on Immigrants in Hip Hop, along with a panel discussion with the artists and activists from Dreams Vs. Walls. These artists are giving voices to the voiceless and telling immigrant stories through Hip Hop-this won’t be a show to miss.

Concert features special guests: Raw-G, Ariel Lucky, Favi, Brwn Bflo, DJ Leydis, Steelo, Rico Pabon, DJ Julicio, and live painting by Desi Wome. Hosted by Jada Simone and Photography by Morgan Parrick.
