Based in the East Bay, their band members hail from all over the world, inluding: Chile, Colombia, US, Mexico, Cuba and Argentina. Through various community partnerships they work with youth helping to expose them to the richness of Latin American culture. Their goal is to bring people from all background together in celebration through music, culture and community.
MONREAL LATIN JAZZ
Lead by guitarist, composer and music teacher Sebastian Monreal, Monreal Latin Jazz is a quartet that explores different rhythms and styles of Central and South America. Moving seamlessly from classic jazz styles to blending in Latin sounds and rhythms that are not often associated with traditional Latin Jazz, to funky and even pshychadelic vibrations. The band is a testament of the Bay Area’s fertile ground for unboxed musical explorations.
