Art-making Kawiñ for Indigenous Resistance

“Kawiñ” is a gathering/party in the Mapuche language Mapudungun. The Mapuche people are in the struggle against modern day colonization in Chile. Join Mapuche Chief Lonko Juanita next Sunday, February 11th 12pm-2pm at La Peña to learn more & enjoy some banner making time together – paints, posters and canvas provided! We demand a fair judicial process for Ernesto Llaitul, Esteban Henríquez, Ricardo Delgado Reinao, and Nicolás Alcamán who have been sentenced to 15 years in prison. Can’t make it to the event?
