Cabildo Abierto – Town Hall – Presented by Wallmapu Support Committee

Desde la asamblea de chilenxs en Berkeley y el Wallmapu Support Committee, les invitamos a participar de un Cabildo Abierto para dialogar y generar propuestas en torno a la crisis democrática que vive nuestro país. Este es un momento histórico y es fundamental que las y los ciudadanos seamos quienes resolvamos democráticamente cómo avanzar en mayor justicia y recuperación de derechos sociales. Hasta ahora, más de 10.000 Chilenos han participado en Cabildos por todo Chile. Creemos que como chilenxs en el extranjero, es nuestra responsabilidad sumarnos a estos espacios de diálogo ciudadano y comunitario.

Por lo mismo, les invitamos este sábado 9 de noviembre entre 2.30 pm y 5:00 pm a la Peña Cultural Center en 3015 Shattuck Av., Berkeley, CA 94705 a dialogar sobre el conflicto actual, las demandas prioritarias y propuestas concretas de la ciudadanía para avanzar a una sociedad justa e igualitaria.

– Para mamás y papás con hijxs pequeñxs que quieran participar, tendremos una zona especial de Childcare y voluntarixs. Así todxs puedan participar de la discusión!

The Assembly of chileans in Berkley and the Wallmapu Support Committee invite you to participate in our Town Hall to organize in support of those on the ground confronting the threat to democracy that our county (Chile) is facing. This is a historic time and it is crucial that us, the people, assume the responsibility to restore democracy, advance justice and protect human rights. Right now, more than 10,000 people have participated in Town Halls across Chile and more are being organized everyday. We believe that as Chileans living outside of the country, we have a responsibility to assume the responsibility of building dialogue on the issue in our own communities.

We invite you to our Town Hall, November 9th from 2:30-5:00PM a La Peña Cultural Center (3015 Shattuck Av., Berkeley, CA 94705) to discuss the reality of the conflict on the ground, our demands and make concrete plans to work towards just and equitable society.

*For parents who would like to participate in this Town Hall, we will have a childcare zone with volunteers. That way, we can all participate!
