Are you interested in learning new techniques to promote vitality, reduce stress, and address patterns of tension and/or chronic pain? This workshop will weave together a wide variety of movement and alternative healing practices that can be easily integrated into your daily home routine. All bodies and all levels are welcome!
Class will include instruction on these self-healing techniques:
Basic Yoga & Breathing Techniques:
Yoga is an ancient movement, breathing and spiritual practice that originated in india and is now used throughout the world. It has been proven to improve health and relaxation through posture, flexibility, strength and mental awareness.
Basic Qigong Practices:
Qigong is a Chinese system of breathing exercises, body posture/movements, and mental concentration to improve health. It is focuses on improving the energy (qi) flow throughout the body to increase blood flow, reduce muscular tension and decrease stress.
Guided Meditation:
Guided Meditation is a mental awareness technique used to improve the control of the mind and body. This practice increases focus, concentration and relieves mental/physical stress.
Sound Healing:
Sound Healing has been utilized in various cultures for thousands of years. Sound helps to facilitate changes in our brainwaves to help relax, recharge and heal the body.

Massage:
Massage is the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body to improve health. The rubbing, kneading, tapping and stoking of muscles increased blood flow, relieves pain and improves alignment of the body.
Please wear clothing you feel comfortable moving in, and layers for your comfort. Mats will be provided upon request, but please bring your own mat, props, and a blanket if available.
This is a by-donation workshop with all proceeds going to support La Pena’s community outreach and social justice efforts. La Peña needs to raise $20,000 by August 31 to break even for the fiscal year and all donations are great appreciated!
