Start the night with a cumbia dance class (included with admission), where you can learn the steps, flow with the music, and warm up to dance all night. Then, stay for the party from 8:30 pm to midnight!

At La Cumbia, we’re committed to creating empowered dance spaces where consent is at the center of every interaction. Similar to our BAILA dance parties, this is a space where everyone, especially LGBTQIA+ community, can dance freely, knowing that their comfort, safety, and agency are prioritized.

All ages welcome—whether you’re a seasoned dancer or new to the cumbia scene, come for the music, stay for the community, and leave with new friends and unforgettable memories!

Don’t miss out—get your presale tickets now, invite a friend, and let’s bring cumbia back to La Peña!

La Peña is a Safer Dance Space Member: Building an Empowering Dance Space with Consent Culture

At La Peña, we are committed to creating an inclusive dance environment that supports gender diversity, is LGBTQIA+ affirming, and welcomes all ages (with adult supervision for minors).

We encourage you to help shape this space by modeling behaviors that promote safety, joy, and mutual respect. Ask others about their needs and preferences, and be open about your own. Together, we can create a space where everyone feels valued, heard, and free to express themselves.

While we strive to make every experience at La Peña safe, we understand that creating an inclusive community is an ongoing effort. We celebrate authentic self-expression and center consent, respect, and inclusivity for dancers of all skill levels.

Community Agreements for a Safe, Empowering, and Joyful Experience at La Peña
