Focus on advocacy & actions we can take including forming a Rapid Response Network, Berkeley & Oakland City Council resolutions, distributing “Know Your Rights” cards, and other actions.

*What is La Peña OLD Guard?
We are a group of progressives who came of political age during the 60’s, 70’s and early ‘80s, often, in conjunction with the founding and first years of La Peña. We include founders, volunteers, cultural workers and other supporters. All are welcome to participate in our activities. Our goal is to keep the 50-year community building mission of La Peña as vibrant as ever, while helping foster a strong Bay Area progressive movement. A principal aim is to promote the long-term sustainability of the Center as a dynamic Bay Area resource.
