Welcome to La Peña! Promoting social justice & intercultural understanding through the arts since 1975.
We are thrilled to invite you to our upcoming virtual panel “Keeping the Flame Alive: An intergenerational conversation on sustaining activism and creativity under racial capitalism”!
Facilitated by the brilliant Sage Crump from the National Performance Network, and featuring artists, activists and cultural strategists from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, this panel focuses on how we can change our cultural and systemic conditions to ones that allow collaboration, creativity, and transformative justice be the foundations for a thriving future.
This conversation is an opportunity for us to actively think about how the current challenges that we are facing as a society are opportunities to break cycles of oppression and to create instead ways to reach out and hold on to each other not only as a means of survival, but as one of collective growth, collaborative inspiration and joy.
Thursday, October 14th at 6pm PST through our Facebook or Youtube channel!
