Welcome to La Peña! Promoting social justice & intercultural understanding through the arts since 1975.
This event is FREE ADMISSION. Donations to La Peña are welcome and greatly appreciated!
La Peña Cultural Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating inter-cultural understanding and social justice through the arts. It was founded in response to the 1973 military coup in Chile, which ousted the democratically elected president Salvador Allende, and lead to the disappearance, murder and exile of thousands of Chileans.
Join the Bay Area Chilean Exile Community and friends in remembering those we lost, those who fought, and everyone whose life was impacted by the violence and loss of democracy.
