La Peña is pleased to invite you to participate at our most popular vendor fair of the year: our Frida Kahlo’s Birthday Tianguis! This year’s event will be held outdoors on Saturday, June 14th, 2025 from 12pm-6pm and will focus on celebrating artists & vendors from the Bay Area.
While everyone is welcome to sign up, we are giving priority to local artists and artisans who identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), LGBTQIA+, multiracial, and migrants. Nonprofits are also welcome to participate. Thank you for helping us to fulfill our mission!
If you’d like to participate as a VENDOR, PLEASE READ the information below:
- Our Tianguis is outdoors (on 3105 Shattuck Ave. and Prince St. Berkeley, CA 94705).
- We are offering 10 feet x 10 feet spots that can hold a canopy to give shade and allow enough space for vendors to be comfortable. The price of each spot is $125. Vendors can share their spot with other vendors if they want to!
- Vendors need to bring their own canopy or umbrellas to give shade to their stands (strongly recommended).
- Vendors must bring their own tables. Chair(s) will be provided by La Peña.
- Vendors will be selling 12pm-6pm. Vendor load-in starts at 9:30am.
- Although we do extensive publicity, vendors are also expected to publicize the event. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Newsletter to share our promotional materials!
Instructions to sign up as a VENDOR:
- Fill and submit the form below.
- Make your payment ($125) on this link (in “Reason for Payment” put “Tianguis 2025”). IMPORTANT: We don’t offer refunds.
- If you are applying as a FOOD VENDOR, please submit the form below and WAIT for us to reply BEFORE submitting a payment (due to City of Berkeley regulations, there are steps to complete beforehand in order to sell food at this event).
- Send your payment receipt to Ellen at ellen@lapena.org. IMPORTANT: You will ONLY be reserved a spot once you have submitted your payment receipt and received a confirmation email. If you submit your payment and don’t receive a confirmation, contact Ellen at ellen@lapena.org.
- Once you have registered, made your payment, and sent your receipt, expect an email from ellen@lapena.org with further set up information.
