As a milestone in the advancement of the beauty of artistry in our communities, La Peña Cool-tural Center celebrates its 36th Birthday with an assortment of events that embrace art & culture, education, solidarity, community action and lots of body energy and singing voices. These events touch artistically and culturally on La Peña’s work and mission throughout its history and reaffirm the origins of the beloved South Berkeley hut as a gathering space for people to express themselves, to be heard and to learn and experience genuine art forms.
