Get ready to be moved, inspired and engaged! Join us at the Fist Up Film Festival for a world of thought-provoking cinema, carefully curated.

We’re thrilled to announce our collaboration with Fist Up Film Festival for October 2023! Presenting contemporary films that leave a lasting impact, inspire meaningful discussions, promote awareness, and encourage empathy.

This film festival uniquely bridges the gap between global and local communities, weaving together shared experiences from diverse backgrounds. These curated films amplify the voices of historically marginalized communities, honoring their stories and lived experiences. We invite you to be a part of this meaningful evening through our screenings and engaging Q&A sessions!

Admission is donation-based, with a suggested $10 contribution (no one will be turned away for lack of funds).

  • De La Calle: Premiered at the 2023 Tribeca Festival and executive produced, co-created, and hosted by award-winning journalist Nick Barili. During the course of the series, Barili unites Latino urban music from the U.S. to Panama, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Spain, and beyond. The series takes a journey into the Latine diaspora to explore and map the evolution of Urbano music and cultures that ignited the musical revolution of Rap, Reggaeton, Latin trap, Cumbia and other sounds that influence music and culture worldwide. From perreo to political issues to the stories of rebellion, Barili engages with musicians, cultural icons and fascinating characters who will reveal the story of Urbano music, its history, and its significance today. The series features artists Fat Joe, NORE, Residente, Mala Rodriguez, Nicky Jam, Nicki Nicole, Villano Antillano, Sech, Goyo, Nathy Peluso, Santa Fe Klan, Jessie Reyes, Feid, Los Rakas, Aleman, Aczino, Princess Nokia, Kombilesa Mi, Renato and many others!
  • ¡Dímelo Rapeando!: Where daily practices become ritual, repetitive, looped, and sequenced. A transatlantic, experimental Hip-Hop collaboration between Germany & Cuba. Directed by Eli Jacobs-Fantauzzi.
