A Dialogue About Indigenous-Irish Relationships and Building Solidarity on Ohlone Land

This event is an Irish community fundraiser for the Sogorea Te’ Land Trust (sogoreate-landtrust.com), highlighting the campaign to save the West Berkeley Shellmound (http://ipocshellmoundwalk.homestead.com/), and considering local and global relationships between Irish and American Indian peoples.

The event will feature short presentations and facilitate a discussion about how Irish people can support indigenous sovereignty in the Bay Area.

Corrina Gould (Chochenyo/Karkin Ohlone, Spokesperson for the Confederated Villages of Lisjan/Ohlone, Co-Founder of the Sogorea Te’ Land Trust and Indian People Organizing for Change),

Dr. Sé Sullivan (Lecturer in Gender and Women’s Studies, UC Berkeley)

Matt Horton (Doctoral Candidate, UC Berkeley)
