Virtual Couch Concert #3 featuring Karl Perazzo, November 2021.

La Peña and Miguelito Martínez presented the 3rd version of the Couch Concert Series, an intimate virtual space meant to dig deep into the work and the stories of great musicians in the Bay Area. This time it was broadcast directly from La Peña Cultural Center and it spotlighted special guest Karl Perazzo, of Santana, Karabali and Avance fame! Thanks to Karl Perazzo (drums), Saul Sierra (bass), Julio De La Cruz (keys), and Miguelito Martínez (flute). Watch the whole concert here!

La Peña Archive Community Meeting. September 30, 2021. 

We got together to discuss around the best way to preserve and activate La Peña’s vast and rich material legacy. Our Archive Committee has been working hard, researching venues, institutions and collaborators who could help us take care of our archive, and this conversation was a fruitful beginning to move in the right direction, for all of us, for our history, and for future generations. Get in touch with us here if you are interested in getting involved with this project!

Hybrid event that had the participation of: Wasska Project + special guest María Elena Muñoz, Made & Feña + special guest Héctor Salgado, and La Peña Community Chorus in the music; El Mesón de Violeta and Horacio Mena in food & beverages; Los Pobres Artistas doing live painting; The Archive Committee for indoors exhibition; Gonzalo Hidalgo in the preparation of the altar and the candlelight vigil; and Pancho Pescador in photography.
